Ourense, 14 de febrero de 2026 — La sede de la Orden del Camino de Santiago en Ourense ha recibido esta mañana una visita institucional de alto nivel con el objetivo de expandir la presencia y los valores de la Orden en el continente africano.
Catalina Martínez Asumo, Comendadora de la institución en Guinea Ecuatorial, se ha desplazado hasta la ciudad gallega para coordinar los próximos hitos de la entidad fuera de las fronteras españolas.
Reunión estratégica y proyectos internacionales
Durante la jornada, Martínez Asumo mantuvo una intensa reunión de trabajo con el Canciller de la Orden, Alejandro Rubin Carballo, y la Directora, Noelia Fernández. El encuentro se centró en la planificación de dos eventos de gran calado para el presente año:
Jornada Internacional en Guinea Ecuatorial: Un foro de intercambio cultural y promoción de las rutas jacobeas.
Capítulo Extraordinario: Un acto solemne que servirá para estrechar los vínculos institucionales y espirituales en el país africano.
Un puente entre continentes
El Canciller, Alejandro Rubin Carballo, destacó la importancia de esta colaboración para la internacionalización de la Orden. Al finalizar el encuentro, Rubin Carballo expresó su gratitud:
Agradecemos profundamente la visita de la Comendadora y le deseamos un muy buen regreso a su país. Su labor es fundamental para llevar el espíritu del Camino a nuevas latitudes.
La visita concluyó con el tradicional intercambio de impresiones sobre la expansión de la Orden, cerrando la jornada con el emblemático deseo de la institución: “¡Buen Camino!”.
